"Mastering
the Fundamentals"
Dear
Top Secrets Subscriber,
Last week, I talked a bit about the difference in performance between major league, minor league and little league play... whether in baseball or sales. I also mentioned that there is always something we can do to improve our skills.
It's important to recognize that there is a tremendous difference between competence and mastery. Some people are not adequately prepared to target, prospect and sell as effectively as possible. They may lack the skills, training or experience. Many others are able to do an adequate or passable job, good enough to rack up some sales and maybe even earn a moderate living.
If You Want to Do Well In the Promotional
Products Industry, You Need to
Master the Fundamentals

It's
not good enough to merely do prospecting.
If you want to earn the big money, you need to master
prospecting. That means targeting as effectively
as possible and qualifying or disqualifying accurately
and quickly. It's not good enough to merely make
presentations, we need to master presentations.
That means making intelligent, targeted product
recommendations every single time. It's not good
enough to merely follow up. We need to master our
follow up procedures, being in touch at the right
time with the right message as often as possible.
Are you a master of prospecting, presentation and follow up? If not, what will it take to get you there? The reason most people in our industry never achieve it, is that it never occurs to them. But now that you know... will you choose to take action and achieve mastery of the fundamentals?
Important:
During the next few days, I'll forward additional
information about how you can begin to create new
promotional products clients at will. I know that
may sound a bit far-fetched, but when you see and
hear how consistently this has worked for other
industry professionals like yourself, you'll be
amazed...
Talk
soon,

David Blaise
